Bio (Fun facts edition)

  • Grew up in Michigan as a Waldorf child and competitive figure skater.

  • I started dancing at the age 20 while studying architecture and design at Washington University in St. Louis.

  • My parents said “No” to the dance major, so I ended up graduating in Anthropology… but really studying scientific illustration.

  • I spent two summers working and living at biological stations in New Mexico and Michigan.

  • I spent 5 years working as a freelance dancer, choregrapher, and fitness instructor in NYC.

  • I’ve danced for CR Dance Company, DevaCurl and Makeup Forever, and the Chase Center among others.

  • In 2018 I received a production space grant from The Tank and produced my first 60-minute, evening-length work.

  • (also in 2018) I suffered a major injury and could not dance for 8 months. I began assisting the dance photographer Rachel Neville and taking video editing classes.

  • In 2019 I moved to San Francisco and began working full-time as a dance photographer and videographer while also working as an on-camera fitness coach.

  • For the last two years, I’ve gotten the opportunity to collaborate with dance companies across the Bay area, successfully turning their dances into films for the first time.

  • Summer of 2022 I’ve begun performing the immersive theater company Oddknock and received a major individual artists grant to produce my first full-length dance film.
