Bio (Fun facts edition)
Grew up in Michigan as a Waldorf child and competitive figure skater.
I started dancing at the age 20 while studying architecture and design at Washington University in St. Louis.
My parents said “No” to the dance major, so I ended up graduating in Anthropology… but really studying scientific illustration.
I spent two summers working and living at biological stations in New Mexico and Michigan.
I spent 5 years working as a freelance dancer, choregrapher, and fitness instructor in NYC.
I’ve danced for CR Dance Company, DevaCurl and Makeup Forever, and the Chase Center among others.
In 2018 I received a production space grant from The Tank and produced my first 60-minute, evening-length work.
(also in 2018) I suffered a major injury and could not dance for 8 months. I began assisting the dance photographer Rachel Neville and taking video editing classes.
In 2019 I moved to San Francisco and began working full-time as a dance photographer and videographer while also working as an on-camera fitness coach.
For the last two years, I’ve gotten the opportunity to collaborate with dance companies across the Bay area, successfully turning their dances into films for the first time.
Summer of 2022 I’ve begun performing the immersive theater company Oddknock and received a major individual artists grant to produce my first full-length dance film.
